Flower poem and gap-fill activity

Here’s a very simple poem about growing a flower for the little ones. You can add hand gestures to make it easier to remember.

Also, there’s a gap-fill activity I do with my 5-year-olds once they’ve learned the poem. I write the words on the board so they can copy them. I hope you like it!

Brown Bear PRINTABLES

I just found this “Brown Bear” printable pack that I’m definitely using in my class. I love THIS STORY, it’s great for learning animals and colours as well as basic chunks like “What do you see? – I can see…”. I think I’m going to have my 4-year-olds colour the black and white pictures of the animals, cut them out and make their own little books.

EASTER COLOURING WORKSHEETS

Here are some Easter colouring worksheets I like and use in my classroom:
  

EASTER EGG AND EASTER BUNNY HEADBAND

Here’s a lovely Easter egg kids will love painting with finger paint, and a template to make their own Easter Bunny ears. Colour the insides and cover the rest with cotton. Make small cuts where indicated and assemble the head band. Have fun!

           

SANTA PAPER DOLL

You can make a Santa Claus paper doll with this worksheet:

SPRING COLOURING WORKSHEET

Here’s a nice worksheet to work on the subject of spring, and it develops counting skills as well. Complete the flowers making the missing petals (I would use fingerpaint), colour the rest of the garden and cut it out. Cut out the bee as well and make it fly!

MORE CHRISTMAS COLOURING/CRAFTS

Here are some more pictures you can have your kids colour for Christmas, or make a craft out of them (glue cotton to the stocking and paint it with finger paint; print out two copies of the Christmas tree and make a 3-dimentional tree as shown in the small picture in the corner, have kids paint and decorate it, etc.)
